The Salisbury Zoo Turns 60!

One of Salisbury Maryland’s best kept secrets is the Salisbury Zoo. This year one of the last remaining free zoos in the country celebrates it’s 60th birthday. I have to admit, this is one of the great things about living in the Salisbury MD area and I haven’t taken advantage of it like I should. Took my youngest out school early Friday and to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend the Queen and I made a trip to the zoo on a spectacular Delmarva spring day. Bison, alligators, alpacas, ocelots, red wolves, bald eagles, monkeys of all sorts are all there. Too many critters to list them all, really.
